Yuri Morozov may become well-known as a musician now.
There will be a concert of remembrance of an outstanding sound director Yuri Morozov.

Sometimes you take an interview of a famous musician, ask him about these things or those ones, and suddenly he says,
-Let me tell you about our sound director.

So I have heard the name Yuri Morozov at first time. Than I heard it regularly. I was thinking what mysterious sound director he was. He was talked a lot by many rock-stars.

And suddenly, “Do you remember we were speaking about Morozov? Well, he died …”It was very sorry. I could have got an interesting interview. In a short, Yuri Morozov had recorded rock-disc “Cherry Garden of Jim Hendricks” . It was the period when Makarevich and Grebenschikov were taking their first steps in music. It was the first disc in Russia. Artemiy Troitsckiy called Morozov ““the pioneer self made sound recording in Russia” in his book “Rock in the USSR”. In 1969 Morozov created his own rock- band “ Bosiyaki”. A half of its repertoire was the songs of the Beatles. Another half was his own songs. Once somebody sent a cassette to Kharkov. One side had his songs another one the songs of “Aquarium”. And people mixed to take Morozov’s songs for Grebenschikov’s. They said,”The highest quality it is!” But about BG, they said ,” This Morozov should grow up yet.”

Why hasn’t Morozov become a rock-star? There are many reasons. One of it is him to have been a genius sound director. In 1972 he applied for “Melody”. He had worked with almost all of the music stars.

Many bands, who work free of charge, are going take part in the concert in honor of Yuri Moro-zov. All money will be give to his widow.
